Types of Anesthesia We Provide
  • Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC): An anesthesia provider remains with you to administer sedation and pain medication, ensuring you are comfortable and anxiety-free. This can range from moderate to deep sedation and is used for various diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as MRIs, colonoscopies, and cardiac procedures.

  • Regional Anesthesia: This technique involves numbing a specific cluster of nerves to block sensation in the area requiring surgery (e.g., an arm, leg, or the lower half of the body). It is often used for orthopedic, urological, and obstetric procedures. Patients may remain awake or receive light sedation, and this method often results in less nausea than general anesthesia.

  • General Anesthesia: Used for most major operations, this involves rendering the patient unconscious with no awareness of the surgical procedure. Our anesthesia providers carefully manage your breathing and administer a precise combination of medications to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the surgery.
